Worldwide, human activities have been a cause for concern on the environment.  Pollution is becoming an increasingly significant development challenge causing currently about 16% of all deaths worldwide with the poor, marginalized, and young hardest hit by the health effects of the contamination. The impact of air and water pollution worsens with the rapid economic growth experienced today, leading to a dangerous situation that poses high risk to public health. Today poor air and water quality are a growing challenge for sustainable development in relation to health in cities and urban areas. Although efforts across sectors to improve both air and water quality are envisaged, more work needs to be done in order to have total clean air. Both individuals and organisation need to adopt best and sustainable practices in accordance with international standards to ensure environment protection. Understanding how each’s practice impact on the environment is very important in understanding one’s contributions and make decisions that are viable and sustainable.
