Course Description
Business processes are a set of activities that jointly realise a business goal in an organisational and technical environment. Business process management (BPM) is a systematic process, which is concerned with the concepts, methods, and techniques that support the design, administration, configuration, enactment, and analysis of business processes. It assist organisations to leverage processes to achieve their goals and be successful. However, this course is designed to provide knowledge, skills and techniques delegates required to analyse and design new processes or to redesign and improve existing processes. The discussion will focus on the principles, concepts and techniques required to transform businesses from a traditional, functional organization to a process-centric organization, hence successfully manage its processes and maintain a competitive edge, while increasing productivity and efficiency and decreasing costs.
The Aims of the Course
The course aims to:
- Provide delegates with fundamentals and emerging issues surrounding Business Process Management; and,
- Equip the participants with the necessary knowledge, skills and understand on principles, concepts and techniques required to transform businesses from a traditional, functional organization to a process-centric organization, hence successfully manage its processes and maintain a competitive edge, while increasing productivity and efficiency and decreasing costs.
Course Objectives

- Identify opportunities for process change, carry out process analysis, model, and apply techniques and tools required to improve performance,
- Model as-is and to-be process workflows using BPMN notation,
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of business process from a general management perspective, and use tools, analytical frameworks and general principles to managing business processes successfully.
