Course Description
The energy industry faces complex trading patterns, uncertain economic conditions, geo-political uncertainties, scarcity of resources and evolving technology. All these require critical thinking, reasonable valuations and analyses for one to decide any investment. It is only through informed analysis that companies and governments make good decisions and create value. Prominent and informative analysis are contrary to common beliefs, analyses that do not support decisions are by themselves worthless. This training course introduces the fundamentals of Energy Project Management, appreciates the risks and uncertainties in the energy industry and further explores the principles, practical use of financial, and investment analysis to aid proper and informed decisions.
The Aims of the Course
The course aims to:
- Develop the knowledge and skills necessary in investment analysis and corporate decision-making in the energy investment context.
- Broaden the knowledge and skills on tools, and techniques to project activities in the energy sector in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations.
